Turns out that creating the future of work requires a little bit of organization.
Which is why we're looking for you.
Jane.ai is one of the fastest growing startups in St. Louis, creating an AI-powered platform that enables a company’s team members to do their best work, by making all of a company's information accessible in the simplest way possible — through natural language. After an inaugural period honing our product-market fit, confirming market response with signed contracts, and securing funding with an $8.4M Series A raise, we're transitioning into delivery mode to deliver a supremely well-crafted product to our clients. We have a talented and experienced team that puts a high value on quality internal communications, having the team organized and firing on all cylinders, and delivering quality work to our clients, and we've grown to a size where we want to bring in someone full-time to help take all of that to the next level.
Come join us in designing the future of work by, well, designing the way we work.
Jane is an AI-powered SaaS platform for business that makes company information accessible through a conversational interface. Users interact with Jane on their existing messaging interfaces such as Slack, SMS, or email, and they ask their inquiries using conversational English. On the back end, Jane can connect to cloud-based applications such as Salesforce, JIRA or Gmail, and she can mine the information out of text-based archives such as documents and websites. If a user asks Jane a question she doesn't know, she routes it to a CoPilot — a "human in the loop" who works at the company and provides a response to the inquiry. No matter where the information lives, Jane can get to it.
We're looking for an experienced project manager to join the team to oversee the day-to-day management and smooth operation of our key work streams, including software product development and client deployments. The role includes continuously improving the tools and collaboration processes we use to help us do our best work together, facilitating communications among all team members, and bringing your A-game to our Halloween costume party. As a startup, we value efficiency, but also lightness - we need just enough process and structure to be efficient, and we hope you align with that. You should be relentlessly organized, tech-savvy, and have great time management skills. But above all, you should have a passion for the craft of project management and take pride in helping a team deliver quality results.
The work includes:
Facilitating project planning and prioritization
Developing detailed project plans and monitoring progress
Facilitating communications and collaboration between Product, Design, and Engineering to get features built quickly and effectively
Collaborating with Customer Success and our customers to ensure on-time delivery of new features and integrations
Tracking team member availability and facilitating trade-offs in task prioritization
Collaborating on the creation of specifications and documentation
Assuring the compliance of our company by working with our Security and Privacy lead to incorporate requirements into our systems and processes
Establishing strategic and efficient use of project management and task tracking systems
Delivering regular progress updates to key stakeholders
Continuously improving our project management processes
Jane.ai team members enjoy the opportunity and benefits of working at an early-stage artificial intelligence startup, but in an environment much more akin to a later stage company given the experience of the founding team. The culture at Jane.ai encourages innovation, independent problem solving, and collaboration as we continue to mature our product in the ever-changing work of AI.
Respect for each other and our clients
Employer-paid health care
Casual and diverse workplace
Free snacks at the office
Unlimited vacation time
Motivated first and foremost by doing great work.
Passionate about the craft of project management.
Ever the pragmatic optimist.
Energized to join a startup, not a 9-5 job.
Technically curious, always interested in how things work.
Personable, professional, and assertive enough.
Very organized, but adaptive.
Focused on Getting. Things. Done.
Proven work experience as a project manager
Hands-on experience with and a point of view on project management software (e.g. JIRA, Asana, Airtable, Basecamp, etc)
Excellent organization and time management skills
Sufficient technical background to collaborate in software production
Familiarity with agile or scrum methodology, with willingness to apply “just enough” process
Communication and team management skills
An equal interest in tools, process, and people
You have academic experience in project management theories and processes
You are familiar with product design, software development, or startup strategy frameworks such as design thinking, lean startup, etc.
You can hold your own writing some software code of any kind
