Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Our Ai platform “Jane” is a virtual team member that everyone can chat with to access information and streamline processes. We're looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join the team to oversee the day-to-day operation of Jane's cloud systems and deployment pipelines. The role includes continuously improving the tools and systems we rely on, fostering DevOps principles across the organization, and bringing your A-game to our Halloween costume party. As a startup, we value efficiency, but also lightness - we need just enough process and structure to be efficient, and we hope you align with that. You should be relentlessly organized, tech-savvy, and have great time management skills. But above all, you should have a passion for software engineering, automation, and building reliable systems. 

The Work Includes:

  • Maintain existing and future software services code and configuration
  • Make recommendations for improvements to existing architecture.
  • Help implement new technologies in development for future deployment.
  • Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfers and mentorship to peers.
  • Help implement and improve development CI/CD software pipelines.
  • Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Offer guidance in micro service design and implementation.

You have:

  • 5+ years experience with Linux systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat, etc..)
  • 2+ years experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc..)
  • 1+ years experience with Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience using Terraform
  • Proficient in 1 or more scripting languages (shell, Python, etc...)
  • Comfortable using source control tools (Git/SVN)
  • Experience maintaining services and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health

Extra Awesome:

  • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc..)
  • Experience with Helm
  • Comfortable using source control tools (Git/SVN)
  • Understanding of user management systems (LDAP, Active Directory)
